Renewable energy in Germany

In Germany thanks to the law of the promotion of renewable energy (Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz or EEG) , the German manufacturers are very well involved in renewable energy, the state helps the companies and those who install solar panels. On some commercial roofs there are solar panels.
In 2011 there is 20 % of electricity which is produced by solar panels, the next target is 45% by 2030.

Prices in Germany

In Germany, there are a lot of controllers to check the validity of transport tickets. The cost for 3 stations is €1 and for more stations it is €5.
The cinema ticket is less expensive than in France. Its price is €8.50. And, to conclude, the price of food varies according to the category of food. The breakfast is more expensive for example the milk roll costs €1.36. At Carrefour in France, the milk roll costs €0.40.

Opinions about German food

Cheesecake
Wurst with baguette

Pretzel
We presented our work "German food" to our class, we conducted an interview during our trip to Stuttgart, Germany. The subject was German people's views in relation to their specialities .
The questions were in German;

How do you find German food?
Crumble
A lot of people said: "I don't like German food because I prefer the food of my home country''
Because a lot of people who live in Stuttgart are not German.

What drink do you prefer in Germany ?
Most of the people we asked said: "Beer!"

What foods do you like the most?
In Germany people like various food with sugar or not, salty, tasty, heavy etc. So the people said: "Spetzle , wurst, cheescake, pretzel, icecream.......''

What are the German specialities?
The German speciality is cooked meats.

Do you love French cuisine?
When we asked this question the people said: "We've never tasted French food"
"Yes we love baguette and croissants...!!!"

In Germany there are different origins, they have their own points of view in relation to food .
The German cuisine has a very unfairly bad reputation because it is very misunderstood ,
It's just different, in the Germanic countries, the food is rather tasty and varied. In general,  the Germans did not like their specialities because they find them too sweet or too salty . they enjoy dishes of meat and potatoes and sauerkraut
German beer is one of the most famous things in Germany. Currywurst is a German specialty, which is eaten throughout Germany .
It has one of the best beers in the world, beer is the most consumed beverage in Germany of course after water .

For further education , the students don't need to use their money, usually the government pays the studies for them. If the government doesn't pay, the students have to pay between 600 and 1000 per year.
But being accepted in the next grade is not sure.

The typical food in Germany is the pretzel. Many bakeries sell pretzels all around the town. A seller told us that in Germany many people like sandwiches containing pork. And of course Germans like alcohol, especially beer.
In Germany, they don't use much nuclear energy, they mostly use wind turbines, so the power of the wind but also solar energy and gas with solar panels. So we can say that they are not using bad energies for the world. They are trying to save our planet.

Linguistic activity

During some free time in the city of Stuttgart we were instructed to ask questions to 5 people in small groups. My group had to talk with them about housing for young people in the city of Stuttgart, hybrid cars or other ecological models for their opinions, and then we had to ask them what activities they routinely practise.
It appears that the city of Stuttgart is quite suitable for students or young professionals, especially because the prices are low for them and they may have nothing to pay under certain conditions that we were not specified. In terms of activities performed, these young people generally do football, swimming, hockey and various other sports. They also like to go to the movies.
However, they know very little about hybrid or green cars, and we therefore had to partly explain to them how they work. They said that they support this kind of product, and they should be more developed, despite their cost which is a bit too high.
