Pezzoli Quentin ( Temps libre + Activité)

Free time :

During our free time we had the right to go wherever we wanted in stuttgart, we often in small groups of 5 or 6 people, my group and my sell we often went for walks in the park and the market place ( Which is very long with a lot of store but very expensive ) we went shopping but do not take too much time because we wanted to enjoy our free time. Then we turn into chinese people to take a lot of pictures of the city to immortalize the voyage and after that free time we had to climb a lot of step and finally completely tired fro a good meal.

Linguistic activities :

Thursday, May 16 we interview people on the street on subject like School with Normal, Medium and large school, recycle bin like yellow bin; green bin and black bin in deutshland and television ( question minimum five people ) it was a job which is simple but hard because we don't know how aborder people on the street and how to present them subject, in my group with Jeremy and Mathieu we're going in a store ( Saturn, a German 'Fnac') where we questioned the advisor who answered us with pleasure and explaining very well and if we don't understand what the advisor said, he write on our paper what he want to say it shows us that this is a good adviser.

Linguistic activity

During the two last days, we have to posed differents questions about car in stuttgart
at some people in the street. The differents questions was for example "What is the
trademark of your car ?", "You prefer anecologic car or a big car ?", "How to pay
your car per month ?" or " What is the price of your car ?". We have ask differents peoples with differents age or sexe. Budget and price of the car were more or less high in therm of people. This game was pleasant because we have can to speak to German peoples and met differents peoples.

« during our stay, we had opportunity to realize an linguistic activity about Stuttgart' project 21, We were able to discover this project and having this opinion of inhabitants by mean of a poll. This innovations for the city, seemed to us more interesting in particular, implementation of « eyes-lights », allowing the intelligent reheating of the station underground. In the goal to highlight the use of renewable energies,
What pleased us this activity, was the contact with the inhabitants of Stuttgart .There are more open-minded, the contact was more easily .
I could thus thank to this excercice, to practice speaking english constantly . »Ah, you write an article on Stuttgart' s project, it's really interesting .I think that this project would suit more for the city of Paris because it's a tourist city. Personally, I love Paris », said an inhabitant of the city.

Stuttgart 21: Alexis Gomes, Théo Lauly, Odin Gille. STI2D2

Stuttgart 21

What is this?

It's a german project to completely rearrange and modernize the railway junction in Stuttgart
The project start in 2010 and should be completed in 2020.

Why this project ?
This project is separate in seven part:
At the first the old railway station will be transformed
At the second time they build 9.5 kilometters of tunnel
At the third time a new railway station will be built on the north of the airport
Fourthly they build a part of the future line between the airport and the neckar ( a river )
Fifthly construction of underground lines and a bridge of 350 metters over the Neckar
Sixthly construction of a tunnel which is 6 kilometters connecting the two railway station ( Obertürkheim and Untertürkheim )

The advantage of stuttgart 21:
Stuttgart 21 must improve transportation wich are saturated in stuttgart.
Then  bury the station  will liberated almost 100 ha wich will be cleaned and converted to the developement of the city.

The majors drawbacks of Stuttgart 21

The majors drawbaks of Stuttgart 21 are the disproportionate cost and the local green spaces that the construction process will entail.

Opinions of Stuttgart's population?

Next to the political turn of this projet, we have interviewed a lots of persons and saw that most of the people that we have meet tell us that they find the project stupid, very expensive and that there will be a lot of competition between the news shops and the old shops. In Stuttgart most of the population is against this projet beacause of  it price and it ecological footprint.

This was an interesting experience to interact with people from a different place, we can talk easily with the help of English wich is commonly practiced by almost all young people with education, Then a lot of people that we met have responded to our question but some people was busy by their job .

Germany food :

With my group, we walked in the city and asked to some inhabitants few minutes of attention to answer our questions about the Germany food but also about the French food. German people are very kind and listening. Thanks to these various interviews, we know now that the favorite drink is the beer. We didn’t manage to know why German people drink beer, different people answered us that it’s a tradition. The different specialities of this  region are cheesecakes, pretzel and different sausages like wurst. Finally, we asked German people if they knew the French food. A lot of know the crepes and the croissants and a part know the snails and the rabbit. The most part of them like the Germany food because it’s heavy and sugary. In my opinion, this food is not good because it’s so heavy but I enjoy their  cheesecakes.

A view of the downtown of Stuttgart
For our language practice we did a survey where we asked about 6 people from 30 to 40 years old about their habits regarding food with those questions :
- What kind of restaurants are you used to going to ?
- What sort of food are you usually eating (spicy, salty, sweet...) ?
- Do you prefer having a healthy diet or do you simply not mind?
- How much time do you spend on eating in general ?
- Is there a special German food you would advise us to eat ?
It appears that most of them eat in restaurants and have a healthy diet aside from one man who prefers going to fast foods and does not care too much about having a healthy diet. Over all they all spend 30 minutes eating.
3 people advised us to eat curry sausages, while 1 other advised us to eat Pretzel

We also did a video showing the curry sausage and what we thought of it : http://goo.gl/1Aet1

Four Days In Stuttgart

From 13 to 16May 2013, 50 pupils of the classes of sti2d1 and of sti2d2 left discovering Stuttgart during four days .To the program: visit of museums and factories but also to make a linguisitiques activities in order to communicate in a foreign language. Sonia ,Julien Garcias and me , we decided to go to question Germany in stores.
we are interested in the lives of students in Germany , their hobbies and their opinions on the new technoligies (sustainable development).

The lives of students in Germany

The standard of living in Germany is different according to regions.. We can distinguish the old from the new Länder in the East. Studying in Munich or Frankfurt does not entail the same costs as in Berlin or Leipzig. Germany like the trips , the beach , the wine and of fishes. They also love cars, reading and sport .

sustainable development

German are very well organized because  In Germany, everything is recycled, even nuclear power plants and There are trash cans everywhere in streets . Germany is a world champion in Solar energy .
German think that the new technology it is very well, we can take the example of car, we have an innovation in the world of the automobile but the problem is that car is expensive and everybody has no possibility to have.

The linguistic activity was a real challenge because we had asked the strangers  in the street . We had to speak in an foreign language and to overcome our shynesses, our fear .which was funny sometimes we re-countered people who do not speak French , nor English thus we owed spoke in German unfortunately none between  to speak German but Julien Garcias and me we spoke in Spanish . This game was funny and entertaining but interesting because that allows  to communicate in another language.
